Lizard Creek Lodge is located in Fernie, British Columbia just 3 hours south of Calgary and merely an hours drive from Cranbrook. We are nestled at the base of Fernie Alpine Resort offering the perfect setting for your ceremony and reception.

Lizard Creek Lodge has been host to many weddings ranging in size from 8 people to 130/150 people. We can provide you with everything you will need to host your wedding ceremony, dinner and dance here at the Lodge. We are offering you the Great room for your wedding. This is an open space with a beautiful fireplace in the middle and a gorgeous view on the mountains.
Also, if most of your guests are staying over at the Lodge they can make use of our Spa, Health Club, outdoor heated swimming pool and hot tub which ensures that everyone has a relaxing, enjoyable time before and after the wedding. Your wedding guests get a 10% discount in the Spa.

There will be a $2500 fee for the Great room ,when you book the Lodge. This includes set up of the tables and chairs, linen and cutlery, serving and cleaning, dance floor,ceremony area inside or outside and the use of the patio. You and your fiancé get a unit for free for the wedding night. Your guests and your self get 20% discount on the units for the entire stay.

For smaller weddings up to 50 people may be catered in our private dining room. It is not necessary to rent out the entire lodge. The fee for the private dining room will be $1000 including use of ceremoy area inside or outside.

To secure your date we will charge a $1000 non refundable fee. This amount will go towards the total bill.

The Lodge must provide all of the food and beverages, for the event. Wine would depend on what you would like to choose from our wine menu. Usually we serve a red & white wine per table.

A host bar is available. A cash bar can also be arranged.
If you would like to have a “loonie” bar, the guest would pay whatever amount you want them to and then you would pay the difference for each drink sold. We do last call for weddings at midnight with consumption until 1:00 am.

We have a portable dance floor that we put in our Great Room area for your dance. We do also have a baby grand piano so you can have a band play for the dance or you can hire a DJ.

For your wedding ceremony, we have a nice piece of lawn on the ski hill side where most people have their ceremony. We can provide lawn chairs. You and your fiancé will be standing in the front with the marriage commissioner and we will put a small table to the side so you can sign the registrar.

With regards to decorations, as the Lodge is so well decorated already, most people just order flower arrangements for the dining room tables. All of the tables will be set with white linen, china and silverware. Decorating is possible but Lizard Creek Lodge is not in charge of that.
We will have a place for a registration/ guest book table at the entrance, a cake table, and a gift table in the Great Room area.
